During her service in the USCG Kathryn was recognized by the POTUS for her Search and Rescue efforts with the HMS Bounty. She has been recognized in her community as a “Women to Watch” by Wilma Magazine, “GWBJ Top 100”. “StarNews & Chamber of Commerce 40 Under 40”, and Firefly Magazine’s “Women of Wilmington”.
Kathryn has built her network Nationally with the Military Community as a City Leader for Bunker Labs and Internationally with her Real Estate Travels & Events across the Globe. Living, working and volunteering in Wilmington, Kathryn understands the essential needs of the community, and the resources available to address the public concerns.

As a Community we can’t lose focus on our Children. We need to consider our decisions about the companies we allow to move here and whether they are going to create mid-level job opportunities to keep our graduates of UNCW in Wilmington.
When we are developing new communities, we need to contemplate whether our grandchildren will have enough trees and parks to play in as Wilmington grows.

Feeling safe when we walk through our neighborhoods and Children’s schools needs to be at the forefront of all of our minds when we are making decisions for the city. Our budget, our attention, needs to focus on keeping our citizens safe, supporting our Law Enforcement Officers and First Responders in keeping our Crime rates low.
I plan on staying in Wilmington past retirement, this is my home and I want to take care of it. My greatest goal is to leave this city better than I found it. Electing me for City Council will guarantee a hard working, focused elected official protecting the future of Wilmington.
